Take It Online is a series of Photoshop Workshops taught online. Over the period of 6 weeks you will receive email instructions as well as a link to download QuickTime tutorials.

The class is designed as an intermediate to advanced course. There is an emphasis on professional work situations.

Topics Covered

•Beauty: what to look for, what goes, what stays in

•Beauty Clean-up: how to get started cleaning up those images

•Skin smoothing

•Using Adjustment layers to color correct skin

•Those -extra- touches to make image come to life

•Image libraries, how they can help

•Body Shaping

Use YOUR own images or images can be provided.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to ask questions receive a QuickTime movie explaining procedure. This way you can SEE what you need to do (much better than those notes you have been taking in class). You will be able to KEEP the QuickTime tutorials to view again and again as needed. It is like having an instructor right there in your computer. Available also is one on one discussion via iChat. (Ichat : BLTFinisher (AIM account). If you have a mac and are on iChat, one on one help is available including SCREEN SHARING.

Instructor: Lisa Carney

Lisa Carney is an entertainment industry finisher/retoucher. After over 12 years as a retoucher, she specializes in beauty retouching and compositing. She has a BFA of Studio Arts/Art History from San Fransisco State University and a BFA of Photography from Art Center College of Design. Lisa has honed her teaching skills at Art Center College of Design, UCLA Extension, Glendale Community College and private/corporation instruction.

Course requirements:

This is a 6 week course dedicated strickly to BEAUTY RETOUCHING. These courses will be of use to professional retouching artists as well as digital photographers, and graphic designers who need to make folks look great. Learn how to take an ordinary image and make it pop. How to get started beauty retouching. We will be reviewing quick methods as well as proper methods that you would love to use when you have time.

Cancellation Policy

We rely on your registration and attendance is limited. If you must withdraw from a course 24 hours prior to the start of the course, we will retain 50% of the workshop fee, unless we are able to fill your spot. No refund of any fees will be made for withdrawal after the course begins.
